This full-scale townhouse renovation transformed an outdated residence into a warm, contemporary home defined by custom millwork, elevated finishes, and thoughtful space planning. Every room was carefully reimagined to maximize functionality while creating a cohesive, design-forward aesthetic throughout the home. This project was largely designed by the clients with help from Lumia for sourcing. The clients were living out of town during the entire project and only visited in two occasions. Lumia facilitated the entire renovation process remotely.
The project involved a complete interior renovation, including a redesigned kitchen, two fully renovated bathrooms, a custom home closet-office named the “cloffice”, and bespoke built-ins throughout the living spaces. Every finish was selected to create a timeless balance of natural materials, rich textures, and modern detailing. New flooring, lighting, cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, and custom paint brought the entire home together with a refined, cohesive look.
A major focus of the renovation was custom millwork tailored specifically to the homeowners’ lifestyle. The kitchen features floor-to-ceiling walnut cabinetry, integrated storage solutions such as the appliance garage, quartz countertops, and premium appliances, while the adjacent living spaces were updated with built-in cabinetry, stone fireplace surround and carefully curated architectural details.
The compact home office was transformed into a highly functional workspace with custom cabinetry, floating shelving, integrated lighting, and a bold colour palette that creates a unique and inspiring environment.
Both bathrooms were completely redesigned with custom vanities, premium tile installations, floating mirrors with integrated lighting, and high-end plumbing fixtures, creating spa-inspired spaces that feel both luxurious and practical.
The finished home reflects a seamless blend of modern functionality and sophisticated design. Every detail—from the custom cabinetry to the carefully layered materials—was thoughtfully executed to create a residence that feels warm, highly functional, and uniquely tailored to the homeowners’ lifestyle.
